Zu Remich, im Srte genannt Bongert, sah einst nächtlicherweile ein Mann ein großes Feuer. Er trat hinzu und bemerkte um dasselbe vier Männer. „He, Jungens", sagte er zu diesen, „gebt nur eine Kohle, um meine Pfeife anzuzünden". Er erhielt jedoch keine Antwort. Darauf scharrte er das Feuer ein wenig auseinander und nahm sich eine Kohle. Aber die Pfeife zündete nicht. Darum nahm er eine zweite, machte den Deckel auf die Pfeife und entfernte sich. Am anderen Tage lagen auf der Pfeife zwei Goldstücke. Er kehrte schnell zu dem Orte zurück, wo das Feuer gebrannt, und fand dort noch zehn bis zwölf Goldstü

Versenkte Glocken. Dörfchen Waldbachsweiler, welches die Schweden zerstört haben. Der einzige Ueberrest vom Orte ist der Glockenbrunnen, der mitten im Felde liegt; gerade dort befand sich einst die Kirche. Als die Schweden sich näherten, vergrub man die Glocke bei dem Brunnen. Alle sieben Jahre nun hebt sich der Grund, im Frühling, wenn alles grünt und blüht ; die Glocke wirft rings umher einen lichten Schein, schwebt über der Erde hin, klingt an wie zum Angelus und versinkt wieder in den Boden, sobald man ihr naht. Schwedenkrieg untergegangene und jezt spurlos verschwundene teilung der Didenheimer drei unversiegbare Brunnen fließen, die eine mittlere Tiefe von drei Meter haben. Einer derselben heißt findliche Glocke noch jezt versenkt liegen soll. Nach der Sage erhebt sie sich in der Nacht des ersten Mais, schlägt dreimal an, ist aber noch von Keinem gesehen worden.
